Judy is a retired school teacher. She has been with International Smile Power since it's beginnings and has traveled to Nepal, Cook Islands, Yap, Bolivia, Jamaica,  Uganda, and Xcalak. Judy works wherever she is needed; sometimes teaching oral hygiene, other times sterilizing instruments or distributing gifts from Seattle area youth to youth around the world (BBF's).  Judy also loves to bring art supplies so that she can do projects with the children who live in the places she visits.

Susan graduated from the University of Washington with a business administration (marketing) degree. Susan has worked as a catering and sales manager for Consolidated Restaurants, and as a regional sales manager for James River Paper Corp. Susan joined Smile Power in 1998 to do work that connects students in our local public and at-risk schools with children in need around the world (BBF's). To this end, Susan has delivered gifts from local students to children in Bolivia, Mexico, Romania, and Uganda. Susan currently works as a volunteer art teacher and community outreach facilitator at Echo Glen Detention Center.

Jeff graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1998. He then completed a two-year hospital-based residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has a private practice in Seattle and is on the clinical and surgical staff at both Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington. Jeff has volunteered in New Orleans (Hurricane Katrina), Nepal, Tanzania, and Haiti.

Ryan graduated from Central Washington University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then completed his master’s in chemistry at the University of Oregon where he studied polymers and
coatings. He is now in sales for a worldwide telecommunications company and applying to dental schools all over the country. His passion to serve people brought him to Smile Power.

Ellen graduated from the University of Washington Dental School in 2000, and now owns a practice in Bellevue, Washington. Ellen became involved with Smile Power in 2004, and her first trip was to Jamaica in 2005. She enjoyed it so much, she went back in both 2006 and 2007! Ellen then traveled to Uganda in 2007, and Kenya in 2009.  Ellen co-leads our local Tent City outreach programs.  She looks forward to continuing to serve Smile Power at home and abroad:  “My involvement with Smile Power has been full of incredible, life-changing experiences.”

Kavitha Priya graduated from the University of Madras with a Master's degree in Accounting. She moved from India to the USA in 2007, received a degree in Human Resource Management from Bellevue College and is currently working to become a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA).  She joined Vedic Education and Development Academy in 2010 as an Administrative Assistant and was thrilled to join International Smile Power’s board in 2013 to contribute her time to a great cause and ensure ISP’s fiscal responsibility.

Jerri is a registered nurse. She graduated from the University of Washington with her bachelor’s degree in nursing, and received a certificate in public health nursing. During the late ’60s and early ’70s she assisted in the development of the Holly Park Neighborhood Health Center grassroots medical clinic. She is the cofounder of International Smile Power and has traveled to many developing countries, providing medical and dental assistance to people in underserved communities. Her passion is to help local health services achieve their own independence.

Laurie is a licensed mental health counselor, author, and video/TV producer. She works with parents and families who are raising challenging and special-needs children. Laurie has produced over 20 films/videos on a variety of subjects. In 2003, she traveled to Bolivia to produce a short promotional video for International Smile Power.

Jeff graduated from the University of Washington Dental School in 1999, and now practices dentistry in Issaquah.  He joined the Board of International Smile Power in 2010, and is the Co-Leader of the Tent City and Camp Unity Outreach programs.  Jeff loves what Smile Power stands for and that all donations go directly to the people we serve.  The Tent City experience has enriched his life and that of his family.
