Volunteer Opportunities

Donating time and talents:

We are seeking local volunteers with interest and knowledge in the following categories:

  • Dental Professionals
We need your professional talents and advice. You may be qualified to oversee and direct a volunteer team during an outreac and if this type of work appeals to you, please inquire!
  • Fundraising and event planning
We need volunteers for fundraising activities. If you enjoy initiating, planning and participating in fun & creative fund-raising events then we would love to hear from you.
  • Marketing / PR/ Publicity
We need volunteers interested in marketing and public relations. Tasks you could help us with include: mailings, emails, brochures and newsletters and press releases.
  • Public speaking
If you prefer to get out and speak with people about a great humanitarian organization, we always need people to speak to students at local schools from which students participated in friendship projects. The students love to see photos of and hear about the children that they made T-shirts or care packages or for.
  • We also need volunteers to set-up and man information booths at the WSDA Conference or other trade shows, and community events such as the Issaquah Farmers Market and Salmon Days.
  • Accounting
  • Education Programs
Establish liaisons between Smile Power and schools and other organizations to set-up humanitarian outreach presentations and projects. Schedule and coordinate kickoff and follow-up presentations. Develop, distribute and present educational audio-visual programs for presentations. If you are more of a "behind the scenes" type, then come and assist another volunteer with setup for their presentation or, do some marketing & PR for an upcoming presentation.
  • Coordinate Volunteers
Help create new and organize existing activities that our volunteers participate in.
Miscellaneous Volunteer Work:
Join our pool of local volunteers for variable tasks. Smile Power is located in Sammamish, Washington. Local volunteers are always welcome to join us and use their talents within our organization. Volunteers from all over western Washington work with us.

Participate in the school outreach programs. Opportunities are diverse, from sorting donated school supplies to baking a birthday cake for an incarcerated teen.

If your interests and talents can help people in need, and you have time to volunteer to a wonderful organization, please introduce yourself and tell us about your ideas!
